Today was the second of two all-day rehearsals for the Love Beyond Borders show.  I parked at South Everett and caught the bus to Seattle. Had lunch at Blue Water Taco Grill with James (the short 1st Tenor who walks with a cane) and Cory. James (the dancer) and Ed were there when I arrived and Paul and Evan (our director and accompanist) came in right after. Two big bears were seated across the aisle and a cute shaggy-haired cub sat two booths behind James. WOOF! Climbing the hill back to the rehearsal space wasn't as bad as I'd feared, and a sit down and a stretch were all that was needed before rehearsal resumed. During one of the breaks, there was a big line-up in the restroom. A stall freed up and Matthew, a cute little dude who wears a split ring in his nose, realized he'd forgotten his coffee cup on the back of the toilet, so I handed it back to him. If I'd thought about it for more than a hot second, I would have offered him a sample. But that would be rude. Episcopal Paul told me more than once today, "You're a bad boy. I like that." It turns out his mother is from Nova Scotia. He's considering applying for Canadian citizenship through her. Rehearsal went well.

After rehearsal I took the train from University Street to Capitol Hill and walked down the hill to CC's. I met a new lower 2nd Tenor named Ben, a bear with curly hair and scruffy beard. He chatted with Episcopal Paul briefly, and I found he just moved from Portland where he sang with PGMC. Next I met Stefan, Chris Allmon's other half, who's from Toronto; he's a tall, lean black dude with a scruffy beard. I invited Chris to Gianluca's GALA bears group on Facebook and he in turn invited Stefan.

Later, Gray and Robert from the XL Bears came in and we sat in the corner talking bear stuff. Another bear looked very much like Austin, the bartender who had a long run on Jeopardy! a while ago. After Gray and Robert left, I finished my drink, said goodnight, and headed back to Everett. I just missed the 512 at 7:20 PM, crossing paths with the bus just west of the Olive Way on-ramp at the bridge. I caught the next bus, a Double Tall, and sat upstairs; the bus was a little over half full. I met Gary at home and we had a late dinner at Buzz Inn; I suggested Gary drive.
