...I got a Dell!
Spent most of the evening getting my new Dell Dimension E521 set up. The hardware was kind of tricky to thread through the little hole in my desk, but the more annoying part is when every piece of software on the box has to go out and grab the latest updates, and they all try to do it at once, and oh yes, every one needs to reboot your PC, some more than once.
Once it's all done and the data is transferred, though, it will have been worth it. Once that happens it's into the shop for my not-so-old mom-and-pop model that's been so temperamental lately.
Oh, and the Win95 box is going to Dell for recycling. Saves me about $15 since they do it for free.
