Ey, man!

Loads of good news this morning:

• Tim Eyman has failed to put the Washington gay-rights bill to a referendum by 7000 signatures, therefore it becomes law today. On a humorous note, every time I see his name in print I want to sing "Suffragette City" with its refrain of "Ey, man!" (although I'm sure that's not how his name is properly pronounced).
• The U.S. Senate has rejected a procedural motion to consider the Federal Marriage Amendment, garnering only 49 of the required 60 votes to close debate and proceed to consideration of the amendment itself (which would require 67 votes to pass).
• The creeping crud is slowly but surely going away -- now I need to run off to work.
