Resemblance

I happened to see on 60 Minutes tonight an interview of Chris Rock by Ed Bradley.

I'm very struck by the fact that some old pictures of Ed Bradley look remarkably like Gary (gmjambear), and conversely some old pictures of Gary look remarkably like Chris Rock.

Actually, perhaps the latter shouldn't come as that much of a surprise, considering both grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant (which is in Brooklyn) and are only a few years apart in age (Chris is very close to my age, Gary three years older).

Go figure.

Throwaway children

I followed this link the other day from soc.motss:

then followed another link from this article to read ( a pertinent entry in Maya Marcel-Keyes' own blog )

I wonder what good can be done for all the throwaway children in our own little necks of the woods?
