Bearspotting
Apr. 3rd, 2021 04:35 pmHaven't journaled in a while! But it was a nice day today and I got in a little bearspotting on my shopping excursion today.
First sighting was one of our neighbors, out washing his car in his yard at the northeast corner of Pinehurst and Commercial. He has a build like Steve Kiggins from Q13 News. We nodded and smiled at each other as I drove past.
Next, at Costco, a tall, dark-haired and muscular young daddy spoke to his wife and kids in what sounded like Russian or a similar language. We crossed paths more than a few times.
On the way to the next stop, crossing I-5 on the 112th Street bridge, there was a bear on a bicycle with a moderately heavy build and a nice big butt. :)
Finally, at Fred Meyer, a pocket bear with a white beard poking out of his mask, in a black T-shirt with sunglasses tucked into the neck and a black ball cap, approached me in line at the checkouts and said hi. He liked the boots on my T-shirt, and thought they were "different". He mentioned the things he'd gotten on sale (real bacon bits and Scott's Weed & Feed), and opined that President Biden needed to go visit the border and get the Border Patrol sorted out (too many kids with COVID packed into small spaces and then released to wreak havoc). I responded that agency needed to be burnt to the ground and rebuilt. The older lady in front of me looked at me and rolled her eyes.
After a stop at Memo's for lunch, I made it home in one piece. Now to pay some bills and see if I can scare up COVID vaccines for Gary and me.
