Progress (or, How I've Been Spending My Weekend So Far)

Friday evening I finally got my old computer ready for Gary gmjambear to use. ( Long technogeekery, in case you're interested )

After all this work I can now, at last, see the surface of my desk. Next step will be to sort the piles of paperwork and shred up or recycle anything that isn't needed. Gee, by the time I get this all organized the way I want it, it will be time to move again. ;-)

Blast from the Past

Back when I was a student at The Ohio State University (fellow alumni will understand why the "The" is so important ;-) I sang in a number of different chorus groups. One year as a member of the Ohio State University Chorus, I participated in a festival put on by the American Society of University Composers, at which Frank Zappa was the keynote speaker.

It so happened that I remembered the title of this piece we'd performed today after hearing gmjambear mention Frank Zappa in another context, so I Googled it and discovered that that very performance was recorded for posterity. I suppose I will have to pick up that CD now so I can play it for people and then tell the story once more.
