Straight Outta Compton

A couple of weekends ago I set the DVR to record Monster House after catching a glimpse of some of the crew and what they were up to -- in this case turning an old jail into a break room for the officers of the Compton Sheriff's Department (part of the LA County Sheriff's Department). I just got around to actually watching it last night and noticed the little sleeping pods with built-in DVD players. It occurred to me that dependng on exactly what sort of DVD's were being played, that you might start to see some tell-tale spots on the freshly drywalled ceiling... ;-)

Coincidentally enough, there's a major story on CNN Headline News about these same officers shooting the bejeezus out of some suspect's SUV (they said tonight they fired about 120 rounds, the suspect was hit a few times but not critically injured). Whatever.
