Catching up...

It has taken a while for me to check my LiveJournal today, since I've been away from the computer for a few days. It's amazing how the journal entries pile up when one is away!

This past weekend our chorus (the Rochester Gay Men's Chorus) joined forces with the North Coast Men's Chorus from Cleveland. The concert was simply fabulous, and I got to meet several members of the Cleveland chorus. We had a picnic brunch at Seneca Park just north of downtown Rochester along the Genesee River, at the end of which we had a gigantic "hug line" as the Cleveland chorus members boarded a bus for home. ;-)

Next weekend we will reciprocate by coming to Cleveland and performing with the NCMC again. This time, however, another RGMC member and I will be singing on both halves of the program. This is in preparation for the GALA Eastern Regional Conference in Cincinnati, July 3-7. Since Rochester has chosen not to attend as a chorus, we'll be representing RGMC but performing with NCMC in Cincinnati. Of course, this means we have *very* little time to memorize all that music... sigh... At least I now have a CD to drill the music into my head. ;-)

On top of all that, my employer is preparing to move a few hundred offices the same weekend while I'm in Cleveland. This requires a lot of coordination so between me and my colleagues we can get all the network patching done well in advance of the move.

So if it appears I'm missing a few remarks here and there, you'll know why. ;-)

Bravo! Bravo!

Everyone I have been in contact with said the concert was great, you should be very proud of yourself.

Gods I miss you guys!

Any chance of burning me a copy of any of this seasons CD's? Or videos? I am gay-chorus deficient, I don't even get to sing in Church that much because they don't have rehearsal tapes, and you know how well I (don't) read sight-read music.

In funnier news, yesterday I got my Keynotes that announces the concert you just sang last Saturday. Guess its a bit late to buy tickets, huh? LOL!

HUGZ to you and Gary, to be spread around liberally to anyone up there who needs them.
