Corn Hill, day 2 of 2

As I mentioned in my previous post I saved the serious shopping for Sunday. I picked up that little chain-saw bear I mentioned, along with a "recycled" dress shirt (dyed bright purple in speckled patterns, sort of like tie-dye but more subtle) and some more T-shirts from "It's A Jungle In There". We pretty much ran through their selection of bear patterns over the past couple of years so I got wolves this year. I also tried some home-brewed soda from "Bayou Billy's", their logo features a very bearish fellow (presumably Bayou Billy himself).

We went off to church, where I was cantor for the day. After the Episcopal mass we gathered in the church hall, and folks coming back from the Pride Picnic mentioned they'd seen [livejournal.com profile] mathan and [livejournal.com profile] scottybear at the Picnic and they'd said hello. Ah well, sometimes one can't do everything. The majority of the folks at church went over to Alexandria (a Mediterranean restaurant, featuring dishes such as gyros, pita pizza, hummus, fruit salad with yogurt and walnuts, etc.) with us, where we had dinner outdoors in a sunken garden and watched the movers removing some large works of art from upstairs where they had been auctioned.

After dinner I walked Brandy, she managed to meet about four other dogs -- three at a post-Picnic party on the next street over, and one belonging to one of the vendors whom I gave directions back to her hotel. Then I had a chat with my folks on the phone and conked out in front of the TV.
So much for my ambitious plans for the evening. ;-)
