School and Year you graduated
Elder High School 1983

Nickname in high school?
Didn't much have one. Most of my friends called me by my last name, since there were too many Mikes around.

Sport you were into?
Not as a participant, but I became rather fond of wrestling -- and wrestlers! -- once introduced to the sport in gym class.

Had a circle of friends?
Several, and at times they didn't particularly overlap. But my closest friends were precisely the guys who weren't in many of my classes, because we were on vastly different academic tracks. We did all have Junior Achievement in common though and that was often where we socialized.

Best subject?
English.

Worst subject?
Chemistry.

A teacher you owe life lessons to?
Mr. Allen, our Glee Club director. He recognized my musical talent and gave me the confidence I needed to pursue musical activities, if only as an avocation.

Describe in one word:
Freshman year: Confused
Sophomore year: Bitch
Junior year: Busy
Senior year: Relaxed

Your best friend was?
"Rocket Bob".

Worst friend?
Some wrestler named Steve.

Cafeteria food sucked?
Wasn't good, wasn't bad, it just was.

Wore uniforms?
No, but there was a dress code -- dress shirt and tie, dress pants (no jeans), and sneakers only allowed in gym class.

How was the prom?
Junior year I ended up taking a girl I was matched with by faculty members (it was called "rent-a-date" for the traditional no-good-reason) because her boyfriend had dumped her -- apparently they made up afterwards because although we never saw each other again, rumor had it she returned for senior year with child.
Senior year was much better -- at least my date and I had been friends most of the year.

Who were the prom king and queen?
Couldn't be bothered to look them up now.

Any achievements?
Too many to list. Chief among them were being fourth in my graduating class and earning scholarships to college.

Were you popular?
To some extent, at least for junior and senior year. Sophomore year I was the wrong sort of popular -- i.e. a popular target for abuse.

Best song that reminds you of high school?
Styx: I'm OK

Achievements????

If he was an athlete in HS, he would've added a few more notes on his list of achievements. Having read his HS yearbook, he was an overachiever! Everything but the kitchen sink (He probably helped to create the kitchen sink as well!!!)

Myself:
The only thing you'll see on my yearbook:

Major: Business Administration.

HS was a bitch in so many ways that I may discuss in my own LJ.
