GALA Festival 8 -- Sunday, July 20
We had to leave the hotel at about 5 AM to make our 8:15 flight. Unfortunately I was a bit short on cash and only had enough to pay the cab fare (including $2.00 in quarters) without extra for a tip. That was embarrassing but at that hour of the morning I wasn't too terribly worried. I ended up using the ATM in the terminal to restock as we would need cash for the other end of the flight as well. We watched the sunrise over the airport and had a light breakfast before boarding our flight.
The flight to Atlanta was uneventful but we did have to scurry a bit to make our connection even though it was only two gates away. On the flight from Atlanta to Seattle I managed to get some pictures over the Rocky Mountains and later over the Cascades, getting decent shots of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and especially Mt. Rainier.
When we landed in Seattle we found that Delta had lost![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gmjambear's bag again. I was actually more annoyed than he was about it, but the bag did eventually make it home. We caught a very full Shuttle Express van home.
As I've observed of past GALA Festivals, it is a good thing they only come once every four years, and at the same time I want to go right back and do it all again. 'Nuff said.
