Twink = (gay) male version of "chick"?

Found an interesting definition (in a slightly different context) of the term twink. I especially liked the last part: "compare mainstream 'chick'."

I don't really define a Twink as someone with nothing upstairs. To me it's a more physical thing. Boy and Twink are almost interchangeable in my vocabulary. "A young gay man with no fur on his chest, nor the ability to grow it". But then I know some very hot guys who cannot grow hair and I wouldn't classify them as Twinks. My definition needs a bit more depth. I don't think about it often. More often I define guys more as 'Ding' (code between my partner and I for a 'blip on the gaydar'), 'Woof' cute bear/cub, or 'RAWR' very hot bear/cub.

Yes, it's superficial. But hey...if they want to walk around with their shirts off showing me their furry nipples, I'll give them the shallow response they are seeking.
