At long last, a performance in the works
We had an RGMC Music Selection Committee meeting this afternoon, at which I presented a piece of music I wrote, I Am With You Always, which I have been working on, off and on, since September of 1998. I got some helpful comments on some final revisions for performance, but most importantly, our Musical Director, Nick Williams, is pretty strongly considering it for our June 19th performance and even, perhaps, for performance at GALA Choruses' Festival VIIe in Montreal. That would be so cool, words fail me at the moment.
I do need to set aside a chunk of time for those final revisions, and I have a couple days off next week (my birthday and the day before it) so I will be doing some rewriting and final polishing then.
Not bad for an amateur composer without a music degree, huh? ;-)
Keeping my fingers crossed...
