Plvmbing
Plvmbing, the latest invention to hit Rome. It's astounding! It's amazing! Pipe the shit right out of your house!

As it happens, I'm not too thrilled with plumbing right now. The folks at Chase-Pitkin (our locally-owned version of Home Depot) suggested I replace the whole float valve in my upstairs toilet instead of just the float ball and arm. Thinking the old valve was just about going anyway, I figured 'okay, it will save me some hassle later.'
How wrong I was.
Apparently, once you break the seal between the water supply tube and the old valve, nothing ever works right again. The finished valve installation leaked from the tank, the upper end of the tube, AND the lower end of the tube (which I hadn't touched, but bending the tube to re-install a washer probably broke a seal or something).
Between this and a pinhole leak in a supply pipe down the basement (which we've been keeping a bucket under to protect stuff in storage there), I'm now forced to call in a plumber. Which means we can't use the most convenient toilet in the house for another day or two.
Aargh.
