A Blast from the Past

gmjambear and I went to the Everett Aquasox game last night, in large part to catch the fireworks display afterwards. One of the sponsors of the Aquasox is Miller Lite beer, and I caught myself singing a parody my brother Kevin made up based on the song "Don't Take Me Alive" by Steely Dan:

Got a case of Miller Lite
I could hold out here all night...

(the original lyric has "dynamite" in place of "Miller Lite"). This intrigued Gary so I thought I'd look it up this morning, as I couldn't remember the title offhand.

The part I didn't mention until now is that at the time, I was just a kid, far too young to drink beer, so I parodied it yet again with Pepsi Light (new at the time) as the beverage of choice... ;-)

That would explain the loud booms I was hearing while I was at work last night. I thought that they were a little to loud to be just people setting off fire works around the neighborhood. Glad you enjoyed yourself :)
