I wish this damn cold would go away. I don't feel particularly sick, as in "I just want to lay in bed and sleep till this is all over with" sick, but by the same token I'd just as soon not have to carry snot-rags around all the time.

gmjambear and I spent much of the 4th at home relaxing. I cooked up some burgers and brats (pre-cooked in beer) on the grill, and we saw much of the downtown fireworks display over the townhouse roofs from the schoolyard across the street.
We went to a party on Saturday at some friends' home just outside Scottsville, NY, and it looked like a good time was had by all. The back yard of our friends' house overlooks a large lakeside campground, and they put on a really good fireworks display.
Sunday we didn't do much until it was time for church (5 PM). Afterwards Gary wanted to stay home, while I went out to dinner with the rest of the crew from church. We had 15 people at this Chinese place, the ladies always go there because they have a good vegetarian menu.

Which Chinese place did you go to?
Bleagh.
Thanks. I just went to the doctor, he told me it's another sinus infection, prescribed antibiotics and suggested I stay home from work for a couple of days, not so much for my protection as for that of my cow-orkers (after a couple of days on antibiotics I shouldn't be contagious anymore, although I've had it long enough that I've likely already given it to whoever was going to get it anyway).

Golden Dynasty in Loehmann's Plaza. (Yes, we all still call it that even though Loehmann's itself is long gone.)
