Double-you-you-bee-eee!

[livejournal.com profile] mc4bbs just posted a link to a tribute to commercial radio station ID jingles by the "Cadillac" of jingle producers, JAM Creative Productions out of Dallas.

I'm impressed with the work of the person or people responsible for arranging all of those jingles so that they flow together. And I know there are at least a few folks who read me who may or may not read Chaz, who would appreciate it.

p.s. WUBE is a country radio station in Cincinnati owned by broadcasting giant Bonneville International, which happens to be the station included in the song with which I'm most familiar.

What did you do at Channel 8?

Are they still on Humbolt Street?

Was Randy the Chief Engineer when you left?

Where do you live now?

Are you still in Broadcast Media?

Why do I ask so many questions?

Why ask why?

John Coon was Chief Engineer when he hired me in 1989.
I worked in the engineering (master control) and production (technical director, audio engineer) depts.
Ch. 8 is still on Humboldt Street.
Ch. 31 moved from East Avenue to Humboldt Street the fall of 2005. I left the area in November 2005, when [livejournal.com profile] bigmacbear moved to the Seattle area.
I've tried for 3 years to find a job in broadcasting in this market with no success.
Right now, I'm taking a few computer courses (Database Applications) and, hopefully, make a well-needed career change. As much as I am still interested in media, the politics of the broadcasting business really wore me down. Considering what has been going on lately, I'm glad that I left the business.

I do remember you from RCL and the Rams. We've crossed paths but not had any long conversations.

Thanks for responding. Take care.

Wow! Cool!

I wish you all the best with getting a better career than what the FCC has allowed big business to to to broadcast media.

I'm glad someone remembers me from RCL and the Rams! ;-)
