Update on the Polygamists

Texas court rules against polygamist removals

As I suspected, the state of Texas was found to not have met its legal burden of proof necessary to justify the removal of over 400 children from their mothers.

Side note: the mention of "400 children" brings up one of my favorite Mondegreens:

Ya picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille
With 400 children and crap in the field

I heard about this on NPR yesterday. Seems them Texans at least some of them anyway, have not learned their lessons from WACO.

Now it does not mean that some of these kids were abused etc, but probably not ALL of them though.

Still, I would not put it past the church to even TRY to force child birth at a very, very young age and to TRY and create competition by weeding out the boys, being a fundamentalist sect of the JCLDS
