Our day in Bellingham

Is Bellingham worth a visit? I drove through on Thursday and couldn't help but think how charming the downtown was.

For what it's worth, a day trip 2 hours north is ideal. We are trying to take a day trip around Washington state once a month. Considering that we visited Bellingham in late November, I suspect the area is probably busier when WWU is in session.
