Gee, thanks.
I am thankful that I come from a family who genuinely not merely love, but actually like, each other. It's kind of a shame my being so far away at the holidays. But...
I am also thankful that I live in such a beautiful part of the country, as I look out my window at the sunset over Lake Washington and the ridge that separates the lake from Puget Sound, and marvel once more at the sky and the trees and the water.
I am thankful to have
gmjambear as my companion in this great adventure we call "life", and for being able to share my appreciation of all this place has to offer with him.
I am thankful for all the wonderful people we've met, in real life and through correspondence on LiveJournal. In particular, I'm thankful for our local friends with whom we spent yesterday, as well as
kevynjacobs with whom we plan to spend a nice chunk of tomorrow.
I am thankful for my job which provides us with sufficient resources to keep ourselves and our hobbies afloat, while not being mind-numbing or abusive as so many people's occupations seem to be.
I am thankful for friendly advice, whether it's
cubziz's recent advice to use TightVNC to resolve an issue with being able to use my main computer and TV at the same time, or my dad's advice in financial matters, his area of expertise.
I am thankful for my musical talents and am looking forward to the holiday concert season for which we've been preparing all fall, and next summer's GALA Choruses festival in Miami.
