Oh, the weather outside is frightful

Left work at 5:30 intending to get to rehearsal about 6:30. Got trapped in the office park, complete gridlock because all access to I-405 for miles was blocked. Took two hours to reach an intersection where I could break free of the gridlock long enough to head into Woodinville. Decided rehearsal was Just Not Going To Happen, and decided to wait out the gridlock with dinner at Red Robin (after filling up the gas tank in case I got stuck on the freeway anyway). Finished dinner just as the Seahawks' Monday Night Football game ended (they beat the Packers in conditions fit for Green Bay, 34-24). Managed to get onto the 405 where traffic was moving well if a bit slowly, much the way I was used to in Rochester during a big storm. Arrived home at ten, just as I would have if I'd gone to rehearsal.

Looks like I'll be working from home tomorrow. Tomorrow evening I hope the roads will have cleared in time to get to tech rehearsal at Benaroya downtown.

Isn't the 405 just horible even when it isn't snowing, well the Renton S curves anyway.

Seattle got a dusting other than possibly the top of QA Hill where the sidewalks may need shoveling, Capitol Hill has a mere dusting on the grass and the cars have snow on top of them but the roads are clear.

I left work at 7 to get back home incase things were bad and I have to go up hill one way or the other to get into Capitol Hill.

Fortunately, the roads were wet and bare all the way.
