Windows issue

[livejournal.com profile] gmjambear suggested I pose this question in my journal and see if anybody else has had this particular issue. I've also posted to comp.os.ms-windows.misc on Usenet after not seeing any reference to this problem on microsoft.com or Google.

I have a home network based on a Linksys cable router, which has an HP LaserJet 1200 hooked into it via a Linksys print server box. In our old home in Rochester I hooked up Gary's Windows NT 4 box to the network and set up the printer, and Gary used to find the last document he'd printed would magically reprint the next time he booted the computer. In our new home Gary is using my laptop running Windows 2000 and is seeing the same behavior. My primary computer never has this problem -- I had an older box running Windows ME and my current box runs Windows XP Home edition.

Any idea what could be causing the problem?
