Words fail me.

Spotted this on a friend's blog:

"John Kerry Is A Douchebag But I'm Voting For Him Anyway".

While I disagree with the first of these propositions (he may have done some stupid things but that is no reason to characterize him consistently as a "douchebag"), I agree wholeheartedly with the second.

It is becoming increasingly clear to me that the very survival of this nation, if not the entire world, depends on somehow getting George II out of office this November. He is the closest thing to a tyrant this nation has had since, well, George III.

Words fail me to describe exactly how bad the right-wing coterie surrounding Bush is for this nation: the irreparable harm that has been done, the lives lost, the liberties discarded, the reputations squandered in the name of revenge, power, and money.

I totally agree. Dubya needs to be out of power, whether through election or impeachment. They did more to Clinton for getting a knob job from Monica than what they've done to Bush for invading a country for no reason other than "We think they're doing bad things."

As for soldiers treating prisoners badly. Our men are in a hostile situation in which they are under attack every day. It is a lot like Viet Nam. Do we even want to begin to talk about the things our men did in Viet Nam? You cannot expect these kids to be under fire, under threat of bombing, every day, watching their friends get hurt and killed, and NOT react poorly. As far as Dubya is concerned, the war is over, and yet more of our kids have died since he deciaed the war over, than when the war was on.

And lets not even get started talking about the home policies The Chimp has pushed through.
